Install HL2 and enable beta updates (right click in Steam library -> Properties -> Beta tab). Install SteamVR from the Library -> Tools menu in the Steam Client and enable beta updates (right click in Library -> Tools -> Properties -> Beta tab). HALF LIFE 2 RIFT DK2 SETUP INSTRUCTIONS 2-13-16 I messed around with this for ages to get it working.
